Florence has truly captured my soul and has run away with it, I don't think I could have fallen harder for a city. I have to say for starters that I do not even think my pictures even scratch the surface of what this beautiful place offers between the culture, the history and with Tuscany a few miles away, oh and the wine (don't even get me started on the wine). I could though slap my hand for not taking ANY images of what I consumed while I was here, the meals were incredible and so indescribably fresh! I guess so incredible... that I decided to just go ahead and dig in instead of taking a picture first.
I feel I always struggle with travel photography and its something I am still learning how to manage, yes I want to live in the moment and experience rather than always having that camera lifted, so it is a constant battle in my brain of the right timing. I always tell my husband that I can't really turn this thing off in my brain that is constantly looking at lighting, positioning and framing even without that camera (its the oddest thing). Here are a few of my favorite images that I wanted to share. You will also get a glimpse of our little vespa Tuscany adventure which was a blast along with our pizza and gelato cooking class (which we were able to pick our own fresh ingredients from the beautiful garden and oh yes I went for making the fig gelato). P.S. This fig gelato has inspired me to plant my own fig tree in backyard, keeping my fingers crossed I will have endless figs at home.
