A growing little family: family/maternity session

Sacramento, Ca

After tying the knot, I officially get to call these beautiful people my family too! We did a little photo shoot to celebrate their little family that will soon be welcoming another precious girl into the world and for miss Isla Sue turning two years old. Loved capturing these moments for them!

My cacti obsession has blossomed

Found myself spending about just about an hour photographing the cactus and other plants that surrounded my husband's grandpa's house that just sold in the Sacramento area. This home holds many memories for my husband's family and it was pretty neat to spend some time with them there before the new owners receive the keys. I love the quaint mexican-style charm that this home has and all the cactus that kept me entertained for a good amount of time was the cherry on top. Oh and be sure to get a glance at that beautiful brick down below. All of the brick was placed by hand by my husband's grandpa who took it from the debris of the construction sites when they were tearing down old Sacramento buildings and some even have cool hand stamps that say "califonia" and "Sacramento."

Cheryl & Danny: Maternity

This maternity session was one of my favorite. Having taken there engagement portraits a few years ago, I was so happy to be capturing another special time in their lives, soon to be welcoming a beautiful baby boy into the world.  They were troopers for bearing the over 100 degree weather and it paid off with all the dreamy natural light the sun gave us. Thank you again Danny and Cheryl, your little boy already has so much love from the two of you.

Kelsey & Brian: Engagement session

Kelsey and Brian were so much fun to get to know as a couple and capture on her family's walnut orchard. These high school sweethearts really have such an adorable connection. And um, check out that gorgeous ring of hers! Cannot wait for their upcoming June wedding next year, it is going to be so beautiful! Thank you again Kelsey and Brian for choosing me to document this special time in your lives!

Cara: Senior Session

Little mini high school senior session of the beautiful Cara a few months back. This young lady has such a great future ahead on this new journey of hers. Congrats Cara on your graduation and I feel so lucky to have seen you mature into this wonderful gal over the years, wishing you lots of great new adventures in your upcoming first year away at college!

Miranda and Curtis: Engagement Session

Here is a look into another beautiful engagement session captured this year. This one was filled with the best of Spring with fresh blooms, gorgeous natural light, the sweetest couple, warm sun and the refreshing river water. I was so happy when Miranda reached out to me in regards to taking her portraits, I have known her since the 7th grade and it is so nice to be able to reconnect with a familiar face from so long ago. Miranda and Curtis were so fun to capture and I loved that they put their trust in me to find a place that would fit nicely into their theme for the wedding. We had a blast with exploring some new spots and then getting into some refreshing water at the end for some pretty water images. Thank you again you two for choosing me to capture this special time, cannot wait for the wedding!

Miss Hayley: Senior Session

Hayley was such a joy to capture and the setting couldn't be more perfect for her senior session. I loved that she incorporated her favorite flower, the daisy, into her session along with with some adorable outfits. It was such a beautiful sunny day out in Carmichael, CA and we were taking advantage of every last drop of that sun. We even had an awesome experience getting close to a few deer toward the end and it was totally worth the large amount of mosquito bites. Thank you again Hayley for letting me photograph this special chapter in your life, wishing you a future that is bright and amazing, congratulations on graduating this upcoming June!

Josh & Courtney: Engagement Session

This engagement session is one for the books! I had the best time hanging out and capturing Josh and Courtney as the beautiful couple that they are. They have the most amazing connection with one another and on top of that they are just gorgeous together.  I know I have said this before but it is just so amazing to witness two people in love and being able to showcase that through my images and this session proved that once again. I feel so incredibly lucky to be their photographer and I am so excited for their upcoming wedding. Congrats again Josh and Courtney, you two are perfect for one another! p.s. totally worth the numb toes that were in the river to get the shot!
